Ask another questionHow does Akari 1 relate to Meridian?
Meridian is the company behind the platform schools license. Akari is its AI model family, and Akari 1 is the first generation. The model has its own name and version within Meridian; it is not a separate company. Akari 1 is being developed to support adaptive guidance inside the Meridian platform.
When will Meridian become available?
The first school rollout in Peru is planned for November 2026. Meridian is still in development. Private demonstrations use sample information; release scope, integrations, and school arrangements will be confirmed before deployment.
What information makes the AI adaptive?
The planned system learns from practice results, missed skills, response times, progress, and tutoring interactions. These signals help identify strengths, repeated mistakes, and the next priority. They do not reveal exactly how a student thinks.
How will Akari 1 help with essays?
Akari 1 is designed to help students find ideas, strengthen drafts, and receive ongoing feedback. Students write their own essays; Akari helps them polish their work while preserving their voice.
Is Meridian affiliated with College Board?
No. Meridian develops original SAT-style questions and does not use College Board’s question bank. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by College Board. Practice scores are estimates.
How often is admissions information updated?
Meridian is designed to be maintained as SAT guidance, college requirements, and Common App prompts change. Ask about the review process and update frequency during your school demo. Confirm final deadlines and requirements with official sources.
Can students use Meridian outside school hours?
Yes, the product is designed for 24/7 AI study support. Students can revisit explanations and practice on their own schedule. This does not mean a live human tutor is available around the clock.
Does Meridian replace a teacher or school counselor?
Meridian is designed to support their work. AI handles repeat explanations, practice, and everyday preparation questions. Teachers and counselors provide relationships, mentorship, context, and judgment for decisions that need a person.
How is student information handled?
This marketing website has no student accounts or practice records. Before school use, data arrangements covering access, storage, retention, and service providers must be agreed. Those product arrangements are still being finalized.
Can schools see student progress?
The demo shows individual student reports. Staff access and school reporting are still being defined. Cohort-level analytics are not a confirmed launch feature; reporting scope and permissions will be agreed before rollout.
What if the AI is unsure or gets something wrong?
AI guidance can be incomplete or mistaken. Students can ask for another explanation and take unresolved questions to a teacher or counselor. Important admissions details should be checked with the relevant official source.
Does Meridian guarantee higher scores or admission?
No. Learning depends on many factors, and admission decisions belong to universities. Meridian is designed to make preparation more focused and understandable. Sample charts are illustrations, not evidence of measured outcomes.
